Not sure Cochlear actually recommends this......

...but we do it anyway and have never had any issues. The Freedoms being water resistant eases my mind when they want to keep them on in sprinklers (even very active ones like these at the local park). He did eventually take them off when he decided he wanted to get soaked. But they went right back on his ears, no worries, and I'll pop them in the dry n store over night. Had a ball today !!

That is the coolest park on the planet! Wish we had one of those, lol. I can't wait until someone invents water proof hearing aids and cochlear implants.

First, I have to agree with Leah, that's a pretty awesome park. I wish we had one like that. Also, I didn't know about the water resistant CI. My hubby and I are just starting to look into the different kind of CIs for Troy and I didn't know anything about this! Thank God for friends with knowledge :0)

You lucky dogs! We don't have a water park around here, but we do have Shari's pool. Our neighbor lets us go swimming anytime we want. She's more family than neighbor. Glad they had a good time.

That park looks awesome. We have one not too far from us but haven't ventured there yet. As for the implants I was thinking this summer would be tough because I normally am crazy about the water BUT I spoke with an Advanced Bionics rep and she told me sprinklers were just fine and they were actually waterresistant in two places making it very safe.

well great! I say cut that water hose on and let them play.....w/or w/out the processors. When the other kids starting making direct head shots w/the huge water guns, Gage did take his off. He actually only wore them for like the first 5-8 minutes. But now I let my kids run in the home sprinkler all the time, they mostly get their lower body wet anyway.
