We were so diappointed yesterday! Some of these babies were popping up everywhere around the state of Alabama (as usual) and we made the long trip into the Magic City but unfortunately had to turn around at the city limits. All the radio stations were blaring their alert alarms and the weather men from all the local news stations had taken over. Tiffani called my cell and stated that they too had made it very close but weren't willing to risk their lives to see some kangaroos so we followed her advice and turned around. The kids thought we should just hang out and wait for the storms to pass but unfortunately we could not do that. So I only have one shot to share with you.........(I don't know why he's threatening to put his coil on this opposite ear. I told him it wouldn't sound good and likely had been locked by the audiologist so it wouldn't even work but he just had to try, he was a little short on entertainment I think.)
And it's a good thing we turned around because I called our audiologist and she stated that they had been kept in the "basement" of the zoo with the PRIMATES and it sounds as if the aroma was a little offensive. But look she'll have a story to tell her four month old when she gets older, about her very first zoo trip! A lot of dissapointed hearing impaired kids around the state yesterday but hopefully we can all get together at some other time.

Aww, that's too bad! You guys get such bad weather in the spring! I'm sure you'll set up another zoo trip so everyone can get together again.
Awwww hate y'all didn't get to go, I know the kids were disappointed but hopefully they'll get another chance to go soon.
I was surprised this weekend when I checked the mail to find Molly had an invitation for Dreamnight at the B'ham zoo on June 4th. It was from Children's hospital (Molly has CF), anyway it says free admission, free carousel and train rides, food, face painting, clowns, games, crafts and more. I think if she's doing good at that time and not in the hospital we might try to go. The zoo is always fun ...

Well, I went on to see if you guys had made it and how it went. We didn't get to go either due to the bad weather. I was disapointed but didn't want to risk getting the boys out. Good thing we didn't....an afternoon with the monkeys in a basement doesn't sound too fun (or fresh smelling - lol!). Maybe they will be able to have another trip sometime later in summer.
