...I forgot to mention, some people had hoped no news was good news on Gage over the last couple of weeks...
We were 8 days off of meds when he woke w/some ci pain yesterday, but earlier in the week, we had itching. I've been keeping a close eye on this all week since he began itching on that side again...like 3 days before. This was another symptom of his infection, I switched shampoos using a very gentle baby type-and I washed it myself (we know 9 year old boys!)-just to rule out a common itchy scalp...it just so happened to be on that same side and no where else...

I know that I haven't had any experience with this kind of thing at all, and I am almost hesitant to bring it up, but is there any possibility he's allergic to the materials that the internal implant is made of? I know a couple of AB users that have had to go to Med-El's ceramic implant because of allergy factors. I'm sure you have discussed this with your doc already but I am just curious.
good question, we thru allergy testing last time, cochlear sent us a kit and he wore parts of the implant on his back for days......we were cleared.
You should get free and clear shampoo from the company that vanicream lotion in case he's allergic to fragrance . some people like myself develop rashes ( I found that out from using bath oil and I broke out terribly). You mention keroid( spelling?) Scars before, so maybe his body just heal differently than most people.
