The whole time Gage was without his ci the last few months, he longed to hear a truck motor (typical boy). He also wanted his sister's voice too but more than anything....it was a truck motor, in particular the farm truck we have "Old Yeller" (haha). Today I was rewarded with just as a little reminder, my husband cranked it up as he does a couple of times a week and Gage was in the back yard with his sling shot. I hear a small voice from about 50 yards say "Mama, I hear Old Yeller!" in a very proud manner. And it was enough to bring a tear to my eye, he couldn't have heard it a month ago.

Yea! Leave it to a boy to want to hear a truck, lol. I can't believe everything you've been through in the past six months- you should have enough material for a sequel to your book!
oh shed a tear indeed, good for Gage - they find the joy in the most simplest things don't they??
