the Prayer of a Child
Just when you think you've reached the end of your rope.....
Last night I heard my darling five year old in the bathroom, takin' care of some business (and multi-tasking as well) say these sweet words "Jesus, um am I goin' to have some babies?"
"He" answered back in a different higher pitched voice "Yes".
Brook: "oh, good! Okay is it some boys or girls?"
"Jesus": "boys"
Brook: "oh, well that's okay. Um, so is my belly going to get big?"
"Jesus": "yea"
Brook: "oh good, thank you!"
...and she exits the restroom never knowing I heard all of this. I couldn't help but smile at the child, knowing I wouldn't trade my two in for anything. I can also remember a time when I was told when Gage was a baby that it's harder to teach deaf kids things that they can't see, non tangible things like dreams, religion, etc. We didn't have this problem. All I ask of my dear Brook is...don't make me a grandmother before I'm 50!! I'll leave you with some beauties!

I love her prayer, and the fact that "Jesus" answered back! Too adorable and funny. And that picture of your kids is one to save. That might come in very useful one day! Haha.
