Brotherly/Sisterly Love

I never know what the day will bring with these two. One minute they're like this, the next they are DRAGGING the other one by the hand/leg/hair, who knows! Inspired by Jodi's post today, I decided to share one story that occurred this morning. When Gage woke up I told him that one of Brook's coil cords was frayed and I had to order a new one. He got that little demon twinkle in his eye and when she woke up he ran to inform her that "haha, you can only wear one processor today!" Luckily I have back ups and she did no such thing, she wore two just like always. He has always felt like HE should hear better, HE deserves the better MAPS, and is not at all shy to tell the audiologist this either. Soon after Brook got her first implant he informed the audiologist that she needed to be sure HE could hear the best!! Oh those young love/hate relations of the brothers and sisters. I do have to remind myself sometimes of how sweet and loving they CAN be sometimes...those "I Love You" signs they throw into the air each night to each other before bed helps me remember that there is LOVE in there somewhere!

Love the picture! You should print it out and hang it somewhere prominently in the house, so that when they're beating on each other you can quickly remind yourself that they really do care. The girls have lately taken to 'verbal' beatings, which are almost worse, yet deep down I know they love each other :)

I love this posting. Jenna is an only child and wish she had a brother or sister. So instead she and the dog pretend they are sisters. So at least we don't get a love/hate, we get a love/messy relationship.

Val,
DEFINITELY frame this picture, wow amazing post! They are two of the most adorable kids ever seen and Gage...spectacular. Just wait til Brook gets a little older and starts setting him straight, then you'll really have a war on your hands. Really beautiful...Jodi

Quite competitive, aren't they? I love Loudest Mom's suggestion-- blow that picture up and hang it on the wall for the days when they compete!

Loved the picture as it reminded me and my brother as a young kid growing up with HAs. We still share our wonderful CI together.

CUTE!! Your household is so unique. :-) Loved this. My kids are grown and they all live hours away from each other, but they still like to tease-talk on the phone and in Myspace. They still razz each other about stuff that happened back when they were four-- I swear. I wonder if yours will still be competing over who hears better when they're older. It's nice they can share that CI bond with each other.
