Decorating the CIs

I've been seeing other parents decorating their little ones' cochlear implants/hearing aids. I'm experimenting here. Brook loves the big buttons and for Valentines Day, I tried making a heart from felt. Felt tends to sit flush w/the coil but the buttons stick out a bit. I need to lower Brook's magnet strength for one thing, she's wearing a two right now and it's pushed out pretty far, thus causing the buttons to stick out. Brook said this when she saw me adding the buttons to her coils..."that's what I want for MY real baby!!" Four years old and already planning for her real baby(who is going to have two cis like her, she says). Anyone wanting to share their decorating ideas, send them my way, I'm not creative!

Looks so cute! My daughter Lauren decorated her hearing aids with rhinestones, those stick on ones that peel right off.

Cute!! I'll see what my son thinks of getting his decorated. Probably he would think they're are for little ones.

Thanks for posting in DeafRead!

So Cool! I'm thinking that Brook needs a little more bling bling, like add some fuschia rhinestones to that bad boy! Big hug, Jodi

Great to see all the colors...
Lotte wears her BTE's on the shoulder, and only allows them on the ears when she uses the telephone or just before going to bed...

Not sure if she prefers them on the shoulder because the sound is better, or because she doesn't like to have abything on the ear..
We'll ask her in 5 years...

But, perhaps some decorating might be fun....

Cute! Love it. I am experimenting with decoeating my boring bte hearing aid. I recently wrote about it on my blog.
The pictures and comments have inspired me to create more designs. I didn't think of rhinestones--maybe I'll try that! lol.

Hi! How do you keep these on the coil? Thank you! My son has it, so my husband isn't big into but I might could convince him :-)

I used tiny pieces of velcro, that way everything was interchangeable
