As I was combining all the Cochlear goods last week, I had the nerve to ask myself "do I really need 36 microphone protectors?"...today I got my answer, "YES! so this is why I own so many" Cochlear recommends you change them every three months whether you see dirt or not. Don't know if you can tell from the picture but this one is six days old and already covered in mud. Gage says it fell off as they were pushing trucks in the mud and he made it Brook's responsibility to keep up with it. We all know what happened last week. Anyway, so now his nice black processor is sporting a silver mic cover to add a little color.

LOL Jesse is king of the mic protector...he changes every month...ol hot head gunks them up quickly with salt and sweat. and I have dug and wiped dirt out of every crevice from the magnet all the way to the battery :) I've even had to ask where the roughed up patch on the side of the controller came from...oh it fell off while I was playing football(OMG) and so and so stepped on it!!!

My own wonder is what we do with the used ones.we clean them ? throw them away ? what?
Not surprised how many mic covers your kids goes through I ran out of brown ones!! I am entering into my 9th month and is on my last of 5 Brown mic covers next is either pink, purple, green or blue! My mic always get bunged up with dirt/sweat/salt.
