The Hook Up

Brooklyn had her new implant turned on today. She smiled when they turned it on and she was actually able to answer some questions without looking at me and with only the new one on. That's very unusual but sounds very hopeful. She seems as though she'll be adjusting quickly to becoming a bilateral.

Bilateral Surgery

Brook's surgery was on April 30 and she is a champion. She took nothing more than ibuprofen for pain after she left the recovery room. There is no swelling in her neck or face and minimal bruising behind her ear. The cut is only 3 in and she was back to normal the very next day. We can't wait until she gets her equipment turned on in May.
